Suitability and reliability of PPV woody indicators Prunus tomentosa, P.domestica cv. Čačanská rodná and P. cerasifera GF 31 were verified under the field conditions of the Czech Republic. P. tomentosa was found to have worse affinity to apricots. P. domestica cv. Č. rodná develop symptoms somewhat later. P. cerasifera GF 31 reacts more quickly. Myrobalan GF 31 or plum Čačanská rodná are recommended for the field conditions.

Czech description
V polních podmínkách České republiky byla ověřována vhodnost a spolehlivost dřevinných indikátorů pro virus šarky švestky, Prunus tomentosa, Prunus domestica cv. Čačanská a P. cerasifera GF 31. P. tomentosa má horší afiánitu k meruňkám, P. domestica cv.Čačanská vyvíjí příznaky poněkud později. P. cerasifera GF 31 reaguje rychleji. Pro polní podmínky je doporučen myrobalán GF 31,nebo cv.Čačanská rodná.
