Collection of triticale in the Czech gene bank.

Original language description

Triticale plants were higher (7-37 cm) than Samara check wheat plants. Consequently, resistance of triticale to lodging was lower in general; only Boreas, Piano and Mundo reached or had better lodging resistance than that of Samara. As to powdery mildew,no symptoms of the disease apperaed on any of triticale cultivars. Samanta was medium susceptible to the disease. All triticale accessions have higher resistance to Septoria than the check wheat. Similarly, all triticle cultivars had higher resistance to rust infection, except Orlando and Zolder. All triticale cultivars except Zolder, Marko and Angus overcame check winter cultivar Samanta in grain yield.
