Original language description
Thermal requirements for development of larvae of Autographa gamma were investigated at four temperatures and 13 diets. The proportion of total development time spent on a particular diet was plotted against temperature. Thermal threshold for developmentvaried between 9.3 and 11.0 C, average 10.0 C. Worsening food quality decreased food consumption, metabolic and food conversion efficiency, and relative growth rate of the larvae.
