The collection of spring and winter barley genetic resources in the Czech Republic

Original language description

Barley is traditional, important crop in the Czech Republic. There are grown both forms of the crop; spring and winter barley. Evaluation and documentation of barley genetic resources in the Czech Republic is performed in the framework of the National Programme on Plant Genetic Resources Conservation and Utilisation. Accessions of barley are evaluated for 2 x 3 years in field experiments according to Descriptor list x genus Hordeum. Obtained description data are accumulated together with passport data in the national documentation system EVIGEZ. Core collection of spring barley has been elaborated to rationalise one of extensive PGR collections in the Czech Republic

Kolekce genetických zdrojů jarního a ozimého ječmene v České republice

Czech description

Ječmen je v České republice tradiční a významnou plodinou. Jsou zde pěstovány obě formy; jarní i ozimý ječmen. Hodnocení a dokumentace genetických zdrojů ječmene je v ČR prováděno v rámci Národního programu konzervace a využití genetických zdrojů rostlin. Vzorky ječmene jsou hodnoceny v polních pokusech po 2 x 3 roky podle klasifikátoru pro rod Hordeum. Získané popisné údaje jsou shromažďovány spolu s pasportními daty v národním dokumentačním systému EBVIGEZ. S cílem racionalizovat jednu z rozsáhlých kolekcí GZR v České republice byla vytvořena xcore' kolekce jarního ječmene.
