Septoria tritici has become lately in the examined Central European conditions the most important pathogen causing brown leaf spots on wheat Resistance to Septoria tritici blotch is in the Czech Republic tested in field infection trials on broad scale and new wintewr wheat lines possessing high resistance to this disease have been developed by breeders. Important task of breeding is to obtain combined resistance to infections with Septoria tritici, Stagonospora nodorum and Pyrenophora tritici-repentis.

Czech description
Braničnatka pšeničná se stala v podmínkách střední Evropy jedním z nejvýznamnějších původců listových skvrnitostí u pšenice. Rezistence k braničnatce pšeničné je v ČR testována v polních pokusech ve velkém rozsahu. Byly vytvořeny nové linie s vysokou rezistencí k této chorobě . Významným cílem šlechtění je získat kombinovanou rezistenci k braničnatce pšeničné, braničnatce plevové a k Pyrenophora tritici-repentis.
