    During last three years, in 2001-2003, we carried out a searching for quarantine bacterium Xylella fastidiosa (Xf) on the territory of the Czech Republic. Up to now, we ad not detect Xf in collected samples of potential hosts plants. During our searchingfor Xf, we regularly observed symptoms of leaf scorch, twig dieback and declines in many urban shade or ornamental trees, including mapie, elm, sycamore, oak, Physocarpus, Liliodendron and others.
