Trees of plum cv. Jojo were inoculated by chip-budding using grafts infected with PPV-M, PPV-Rec, and PPV-D. Trees inoculated with PPV-M and PPV-Rec died. Two trees inoculated with PPV-D died, another two trees inoculated with PPV-D confiremed to grow without symptoms of disease. Results of ELISA and RT-PCR confirmed incomplete hypersensitivity to PPV.

Czech description
Stromy švestky cv. Jojo byly inokulovány očkováním s použitím roubů infikovaných kmeny viru šarky švestky, PPV-M, PPV-Rec a PPV-D. Stromy inokulované PPV-M a PPV-Rec odumřely. Dva stromy inokulované PPV-D odumřely, další dva stromy pokračovaly v růstu bez příznaků onemocnění. Výsledky ELISA a RT-PCR potvrdily neúplnou hypersenzitivitu k PPV.
