The influence of tillage systems on soil organic matter and soil hydrophobicity
Original language description
Parameters for evaluating both the soil organic matter quantity (organic C, total N) and quality (microbial biomass C, hydrophobic and hydrophilic organic components) were determined in soil samples, taken from two soil depths (0?0.1 m and 0.1?0.3 m) ina field experiment in the period 2001?2007, with different tillage systems. Based on experimantal data received, conservation tillage systems increased the content of soil organic matter in top soil layer, improved their quality and increased soil hydrophobicity.
