Non-traditional crops for biogas
Original language description
The publication briefly presents a newly launched project, which is aimed to investigate selected non-traditional crops, compared with 2 conventional crops for cultivation and use as green raw materials for biogas production. For purposes of this projectwere selected six non-traditional forage crops - topinambour, girasole, rosin-weed, St. John's rye, mallow Lavatera and Schavnat alias sorrel Uteuša, and for comparison 2 traditional forage crops - corn and multi-annual grass vegetation, i.e. a total of8 crops. All crops except of reference corn are perennial crops. All crops except maize reference are perennial crops. Already the first results show the perspective of solving some of the tested crops such as maize competitive raw materials for biogasproduction.
