Original language description
Epidemics of rusts on wheat in the Czech Republic are described, stem rust epidemic in 1972, yellow rust epidemic in tzhe sixties of the last century and in 1999-2001. Leaf rust occurred regularly every year with several peaks. Resistance genes were determined in the wheat cultivars/entries used in resistance breeding. Virulence in the population of all three rust species attacking wheat was determined.
