Influence of liquid nitrogen fertilizer injection (CULTAN) on production potential of grass-clover mixtures
Original language description
Controlled Uptake Long Term Ammonium Nutrition has been studied at the Jevíčko site (CZ). The experiment was established in two sowing cycles: 1st cycle: sowing in 2007 and harvest in 2008 and 2009; 2nd cycle: sowing in 2008 and harvest in 2009. This paper compares the CULTAN system with a traditional method (wide spreading of mineral fertzilizer) of nitrogen application during growing period of clover-grasses mixtures. Two clover-grass mixtures with different varieties were compared: 1) grass-clover mixture (festulolium cv. Perseus 70 % and red clover cv. Vltavín 30 %, 2) grass-clover mixture (festulolium cv. Felina 70 % and red clover cv. Vltavín 30 %). The aim of our study was to improve growing conditions of clover in clover-grass mixtures.
