Original language description
L. bostrychophila, common cosmopolitan stored product psocid was chosen as the model species for morphological and molecular diagnosis. Two geographical populations (Czech Republic, China) of this species were compared based on decisive morphological characters,size measurements, SEM micrographs, PCR-RFLP and sequencing molecular diagnostic methods. Both morphological and molecular methods are able to properly identify the species. Significantly distinguishable diffences between geographical populationsof this species were found only using the molecular methods.
