Original language description
Aleuroglyphus ovatus has worldwide distribution and is commmon pest of various stored products. Modified atmosphere may be non-toxic option for control of mites in stored products (e.g. seeds, spice, dried fruits). This study brings the first report on the efficacy of modified atmospheres (N2) on Aleuroglyphus ovatus. 100% gaseous nitrogen atmospohere caused 100% mortality of mite adults after 33 hours.
