Original language description
The effect of water availability differentiated from anthesis, during wheat grain growth, was studied in field experiments. The results showed that several factors influence and interact in modification of the root growth and depletion of soil nitrogen.Post-anthesis water shortage and lower nitrogen supply did not systematically increased root density and depth. Water stress mostly reduced depletion of mineral soil N.
