Original language description
The calculated NIR models on basis of discriminant analysis reliably distinguished the genotypes with a low amylose content (waxy-type) from a genetically broad spectrum of wheat varieties (common wheat and durum wheat) with a standard amylose content. The mapping of waxy genotypes in other wheat species (e.g. einkorn and emmer) will demand enlargement of calibration set of accessions of these wheat species.
