Long-term effect of different tillage treatment on winter wheat production and soil quality
Original language description
Long-term field trial, established in the year 1995 in the site Ruzyně was the source of the experimental data. It was a rotation of three crops: winter wheat, spring barley, mustard. Four soil tillage methods were set-up: conventional tillage (CT), no tillage (NT) no tillage + mulch (NTM) and minimum tillage (MTS) were observed. Minimum tillage method, provides the most favourable conditions for the highest grain production of winter wheat compared with other tillage treatments. The conventional check variant provided the lowest grain yields during experimental period. There exist statistically significant differences of soil humus content between the conventional variant and no-till variants, especially with mulch (NTM) in upper and middle sampling horizons of topsoil profile.
