Two new species of Thismia subsect. Odoardoa (Thismiaceae) from Borneo
Original language description
Two species of Thisma subsect. Odoardoa are described here as new to science. Both of the species have been discovered in Borneo and are probably stenoendemics of northern Sarawak (T. cornuta) and Sabah (T. pallida). Although the genus is strictly mycoheterotrophic and mostly dependent on primary habitats (mostly tropical rainforests), T. pallida was found in secondary forest near logging road. Both of the species are described, illustrated and taxonomic affinities are discussed.
