Octosporopsis erinacea and Octospora kelabitiana (Pezizales) - two new hepaticolous ascomycetes from Borneo
Original language description
The paper reports on finding of two new liverworts-parasitizing ascomycetes species in the Kelabit Highlands, Sarawak, Borneo. These are described as new to science and named as Octosporopsis erinacea and Octospora kelabitiana. The former parasitizes Dumortiera hirsuta, the latter infects representatives of the genus Riccardia. Generic placement was inferred based on DNA analysis of two nuclear loci (EF-1alpha, LSU rDNA).
