Original language description
The paper reports on the first finds of bryophilous Pezizales in southern Africa. One morphotype that were observed on many localities turned out to be a group of four genetic lineages (cryptic species). One of them is formally described as Octospora conidiophora, and informal group of O. conidiophora agg. is proposed. This group is the first taxon in bryophilous Pezizales with observed anamorph.
