The article presents the results of molecular phylogenetic analysis of the Czech collections (both fresh and herbarium)of the members of genus Morchella. As the current species recognition concept was proved to be less and less usable with every added accession analysed, several criteria were proposed for distinguishing new species or phylospecies in the genus Morchella.
