The aim of the workshop was to present the results of the project concerning the production of biomass of semi-natural grasslands in the Czech-Polish border area. The issues of aboveground biomass collection (stand height, tool type, etc.) and subsequent sample processing (sample drying time and temperature) were discussed. In the next part, various types of grassland management (grazing, mowing, mulching, abandonment) were discussed, including their combinations and interruption of biomass production management. Furthermore, indirect methods for determining the dry matter of above-ground biomass using "compressed sward height" were introduced.
