Ice Nucleation Activity of Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi on Peas and Their Biochemical Identification by Biolog System

  • Original language description

Pseudomonas syringae species is the natural component of epiphytic bacterial population and also important source of biogenic ice nuclei, that are able to catalysed of ice crystals in plant tissues at temperature close 0 °C and participate in frost injuries of plants. From Pseudomonas syringae group are important on peas pathovars pisi and syringae that cause economically important losses in the most pea-growing areas of the world. Both patovars belong to the most significant in the Pseudomonas syringaespecies concerning to a frequency of strains with ice nucleation activity. Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi (Psp) causing bacterial blight on peas (Pisum sativum, L.) is inscripted in list of quarantine organisms in many countries. Pathogen is easy transmitted by seed and so can be disseminated in connection with international trade of seed. Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae (Pss), closely related to Psp, causes similar sympthoms on pea plants, by eye do not differentiated. That is why a d
