    Expected selection effects are calculated for secondary - functional traits, when selection of dual purpose cattle is according index. Selection effect depends on economic evaluation of secondary trais in index. Under the normal situation the genetic gain in secondary traits is negative. Improvement is only in a case of extrem high superevaluation of economic values.
