Associations between AluI growth hormone gene polymorphism and growth curve parameters as well as milk production traits were studied. Holstein cows were typed for the growth hormone locus located in exon 5 at amino acid position 127. The frequencies ofL, V alleles were 0,87 and 0,13, respectively. The polymorphism was found to be linked neither with growth nor with production traits.
