Comparison of grass silage protein total tract digestibility as determined by means of mobile bag and nylon capsule methods
Original language description
The mobile bag method had two parts. In Part 1, samples were incubated in rumen, while in Part 2 they were passaged through the intestine. Three dry cows fitted with T-piece duodenal cannulas were used in the Part 2 of mobile bag method. The trial with nylon capsules was carried out with four, non-cannulated dairy cows (averaged milk yield of 21,9 kg /day). Protein total tract digestibility, as determined by means of mobile bag method, was 93,9 %.
