The effect of sire k-casein genotype on milk production parameters of daughters was investigated in 5,506 cows from 37 Czech Pied bulls. A significant relationship was observed for the CSN3 marker. The AA genotype significantly increased production of milk, fat and protein in kg while the BB genotype was related to higher percentages of protein and fat in milk. The observed gene and genotype frequencies are in agreement with frequencies found in other Simmental type breeds.

Czech description
V práci byl zjišťován efekt genotypu kapakaseinu otce na ukazatele mléčné užitkovosti dcer u 37 plemeníků českého strakatého skotu a 5 506 jejich dcer. U genotypu AA byl zaznamenán statisticky významný vztah k produkci mléka, tuku a bílkovin, zatímco genotyp BB byl spojen s vyšším obsahem bílkovin a tuku v mléce. Zjištěné genotypové četnosti odpovídají četnostem uváděným u plemen simentálského původu.
