Neutral detergent fiber and its role in techniques to study rumen fermentation characteristics of forage

  • Original language description

Effect of chemical composition on/and fermentation kinetics of forty-nine samples (grass hay, grass silage, clover-grass silage, pasture-grass hay) were investigated in two experiments with fistulated cows. Fermentation kinetics was determined using thetwo in vitro techniques, and the nylon bag technique. Samples were also investigated by in vivo calculation. Nylon bag degradability (pore size 37 ?m) was measured after 0, 2, 4, 8, 16, 24, 48, 96, 168 and 504 h of incubation. Fractional rate of degradation (c) of NDF varied from 0.022 to 0.150 per hour and degradable NDF fraction (b) varied from 0.590 to 0.939. In vitro digestibility of organic matter (OM) and NDF was performed by two different standard laboratory methods, one based on rumen fluid (Tilley and Terry method (TT)).

Neutrálně detergentní vláknina a její úloha při studii bachorové fermentace u píce

  • Czech description

Ve dvou experimentech u 49 vzorků (travní seno, travní siláž, jetelotravní siláž a pastevní porost) byl sledován vliv chemického složení a/na proces fermentace za použití kanylovaných krav. Proces fermentace byl stanovován dvěmi in vitro metodami a nylonbag metodou. Vzorky byly též přepočteny na in vivo stravitelnost organické hmoty (OM). Nylon bag degradovatelnost (velikost pórů 37 ?m) byla měřena v inkubačních intervalech 0, 2, 4, 8, 16, 24, 48, 96, 168 a 504 h. Rychlost degradace NDF frakce (c) bylaod 0.022 do 0.150 h-1 a potenciálně degradovatelná frakce NDF (b) kolísala od 0.590 do 0.939. In vitro stravitelnost OM a NDF byla zjišťována dvěmi různými laboratorními metodami; metodou Tilley a Terry (TT).
