Liner chamber vacuum stability analysis during milking in automatic milking system
Original language description
The vacuum stability measurement was carried-out under both laboratory and operational conditions using robot Lely Astronaut A3 with equally adjusted parameters of milking equipment. Milk flow-rate was evaluated from the video record display of controlling unit. The measured values have proved that vacuum average value decreasing within whole pulsation time is lower under laboratory conditions as compared with milking while till the flow-rate of 0,5 l/min the difference is 2 kPa. The significant difference occurs from a quarter flow-rate of 0,7 l/min where the average vacuum in liner chamber is lower by 4 kPa during milking within whole pulsation time. At the quarter flow-rate over 2,5 l/min that difference was 1,5 kPa. These differences are caused inparticular by the fact that during milking the teat cup is suspended unsupported from the udder and with the dairy cow motion the non-defined air suction around the teats occurs as well as the hydraulic strokes in the long milk hose.
