A Cost effective Solution for Small-Scale Biomethane Generation

  • Original language description

In this work, we designed the technology and machinery for cleaning, treatment and storage of treated biogas to natural gas quality. In the process of biogas created in addition to methane and carbon dioxide as well as many other compounds, for the use of raw biogas are pollutants. Among them are sulfur compounds in the combustion of biogas in cogeneration units and motor vehicles are oxidized to sulfuric acid which causes corrosion of the combustion engine. This means that we need sulfur compounds fromthe gas before combustion clean. One effective way of removing sulfur compounds from gases is their absorption of trivalent iron. The paper describes the design of compressor units for treatment of biogas to natural gas quality. For this application, itwas also necessary to address the removal of sulfur compounds from biogas.
