Function sample of crushing device of waste potato tubers is destinated for processing of waste potatoes for energy purposes, as a component of biological materials delivered into biogas plant. For these purposes it is suitable to treat the waste potatoes thoroughly to smaller fractions by crushing. The creators designed and constructed the crushing device in a shovel to a manipulator. The principle of function of crushing device consists in mechanical disruption of potato tubers structure by toothed crushing roller with horizontal axis of rotation, placed in shovel with supporting grate in the whole extent of this shovel. Gear of device was solved from hydraulic circle of manipulator by orbital hydraulic motor with transmission by wedge shaped belts or variantly by chain transmission with safety mechanism, which can be completed by hydraulic pressure protection against overloading.
