Original language description
There are presented the current state of the legal obligation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from automotive fuels and the transposition of the RED II and related EU standards into national legislation. The current balance of production and consumption of certified biofuels and renewable energy in transport is given. The description of the technological pathways and synergies of biofuel production, biogas and renewable fuels of non-biological origin is complemented by an overview of the state of development of advanced alternative motor fuels including slow thermal decomposition technology of residual biomass and organic waste.
