Evaluation of multi-purpose utilization possibilities of updated drainage structures
Original language description
The paper comments on an original methodology of analyzing the adaptability of existing drainage systems and structures to changed conditions. The method is based on a modified ecological index, a parameter characterizing the site conditions in a summaryway and based on the currently available data on climate, hydrogeology, soils, geomorphology and production. The analysis of the actual state of a drainage system starts with a detailed review of its design parameters, a reconnaissance of its actual state. The analyses outlined above then become a basis for designing several alternative technical ways of modernisation, each capable of fulfilling the required environmental and economic targets.
