    The monitoring of nitrate concentration in tile drainage water and nitrogen leaching out of the catchment

    Concentration of nitrates in tile drainage water is an important theme in CR, because of the fact that many of drinking water reservoirs in Czech republic are situated in the areas where the tile drainage was built and where the wet meadows were changedinto arable land. The problem is not only high nitrate concentration in water but leaching of nitrogen as one of most important nutrient out of the soil. For the purpose of monitoring nitrogen circulation, the experimental catchment Dehtare was chosen. Although as the dominant factor, which affects the quantity of nitrate leaching the volume of runoff was recognized, which is different every year, the nitrate concentration in water is every year increasing. That is why we study effect of backward conversion to grassland on the quality of drainage water.

    Koncentrace dusičnanů v drenážních vodách je v ČR významné téma, protože mnoho zdrojů pitné vody se nachází v oblastech, ve kterých byl vodný a živinný režim změněn odvodněním. Problémem není pouze vysoká koncentrace dusičnanů, ale také celková ztráta dusíku jakožto důležité živiny z povodí. Nejdůležitější faktor pro velikost odnosu N z povodí je množství srážek. Koncentrace dusičnanů však roste kontinuálně a proto zkoumáme zda bude mít pozitivní vliv na kvalitu vody zpětná přeměna orné půdy na trvalé travní porosty.
