Original language description
The characterisation of the inputs of persistent organic pollutants (BTEX, PAHs, PCBs, DDT, PCDDs/Fs, petroleum hydrocarbons) into agricultural soils by sewage sludge and dredged sediments application is described. The correlation between selected sludgeand sediment characteristics (pH, content and quality of organic matter) and load by POPs is presented. The load of sludge and sediment by POPs is compared with available legislative criteria.
