    Genetic diversity of a black poplar population in the Morava river basin assessed by microsatellite analysis

    The genetic structure of a black poplar population in the Czech Republic was investigated. 112 adult trees were characterised at 12 microsatellite loci. All tested loci were polymorphic with a mean number of alleles 13.4 per locus. The values of expectedheterozygosity and effective number of alleles (0.83 and 6.5, respectively) indicate high diversity in the population. The existence of gene flow among study sites within population was confirmed.

    Byla zkoumána genetická struktura populace topolu černého v České republice. Bylo analyzováno 12 mikrosatelitových lokusů u 112 dospělých stromů. Všechny lokusy byly polymorfní s průměrným počtem alel na lokus 13,4. Hodnoty očekávané heterozygotnosti a efektivního počtu alel na lokus (0,83 a 6,5) svědčí o vysoké hladině genetické diverzity. Byla také potvrzena existence toku genů mezi jednotlivými lokalitami v rámci populace.
