The lower Dyje River area is situated in the southeast of the Czech Republic. It is notable for both its unique nature and culture. That is why two thirds of the concerned area became part of the Lower Morava Biosphere Reserve in 2003. The study area wasassessed on the basis of individual natural landscape units, determinated by synthesis of its natural conditions. Land use changes in three time periods were analyzed with the stress on driving forces which influenced these changes. The assessment alsoincluded consequences of human activities in the lower Dyje River Area, where environmental risks and landscape stabilizing components were distinguished. As a result of the assessment, management of the study area was proposed with the emphasis on the rules of sustainability.

Hodnocení krajiny dolního Podyjí na podkladě individuálních přírodních krajinných jednotek jako možného zdroje pro trvale udržitelný rozvoj

Czech description

Dolní Podyjí leží na jihovýchodě České republiky. Je významné jak z přírodního tak z kulturního hlediska. Proto se dvě třetiny studovaného území staly v roce 2003 součástí biosférické rezervace Dolní Morava. Studované území bylo hodnoceno na základě individuálních přírodních krajinných jednotek, které byly vymazeny na základě jejich přírodních podmínek. Byly analyzovány změny land use ve třech časových obdobích s důrazem na klíčové faktor,y tkeré tyto změny ovlivnily. Hodnocení také zahrnovalo dopady lidských aktivit v dolním Podyjí, přičemž byly rozlišeny environmenální rizika a stabilizující prvky. Výsledkem hodnocení byl navržen management oblasti s důrazem na pravidla trvalé udržitelnosti.
