Original language description

Whithin the framework of the preparation of the Landscape Atlas of the Czech Republic, a new synoptic generel geomorphological map of the Czech Republic was developed on a scale of 1:500 000 by team of the Czech geomorphologists. In agreement with recenttrends in general geomorphology and geomorphological mapping and in relation to the final map scale 1:500 000, the basic mapped units are (meso) landformas classified along their appearance (shape-mainly slope inclination and elevation), genesis and age.
