The work presents the results of evaluation of horse chestnut cultivar Mertelik field resistance to Cameraria ohridella in the conditions of game preserves. The resistant behaviour was divided into three categories based on nature of the mines as well ason the level of damage to the lamina by larvae of horse chestnut leaf miner. Category I. and II. represents the resistant behaviour while the category III. represents damage typical for non- resistant horse chestnuts. The frequency of occurrence of individual categories in three vegetation periods 2010 - 2012 from target location of game preserve Moravský Krumlov as well as two control locations in Pruhonice and Knapovec is summarized in a table. The results showed resistant behaviour of cultivar Mertelík on target location of game preserve, where the overall damage to the lamina of cultivar Mertelík caused by C. ohridella was significantly (about 50%) lower than that of seedling Aesculus hippocastanum.
