Original language description

Substrates with peat replacement by paper mill waste materials (primary sludge, mixture of primary and secondary sludge, wood waste fibres) were tested in an experiment with pot plants of Kalanchoe blossfeldiana As a control substrate a mixture of peat (40 % vol.), composted bark (40 % vol.) and clay (20 % vol.) was used. In the tested substrates a portion of peat was partly or completely replaced by an alternative component Physical and chemical properties of used substrate components and prepared substrates were estimated before planting, dimension and quality of cultivated plants were evaluated at the end of the experiment.
