    The purpose of this work was the study of influence of cytokinin BA on production of shoots in Hosta fortunei 'Rugosa', H. fortunei 'Freising' and H. sieboldiana 'Elegans'. . For the induction of new shoots small shoots (5-10 mm) from in vitro were used,that were placed on MS medium (Murashige and Skoog, 1962) with 1.0, 2.5, 5.0 mg l-1 benzyladenine (BA) and 0.1 mg l-1 ?-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA), 2 % sucrose and 7 g l-1 agar. Cultures were evaluated after 8 weeks of cultivation. The best productionof shoots were observed on medium with 2.5 mg l- BA. Higher concentration of BA decreased the production of shoots. Plantles were rooted in small plastic boxes in perlite ex vitro.
