Lymphocyte subsets in the mammary gland of the virgin heifers

  • Original language description

We characterized lymphocyte subsets in the mammary gland lavages (MGL) of the virgin heifers, compared it with their peripheral blood (PB) counterpart, and described changes after induced cell influx. MGL before induced influx did not contain granulocytes but induced influx led to masive migration of these cells into the mammary gland. CD4/CD8 ratio was higher in MGL before induced influx than in PB. Induced influx led to increasing ratio mainly due to decrease of CD8+ lymphocytes.
