Immune response of piglets after vaccination against oedema disease

Original language description

After vaccination against edema disease in piglets the titre of Stx2e neutralizing antibodies were detected. The titre of antibodies was lower than 16 in 9.7% piglets from the group investigated. Majority of piglets had the titre of antibodies in the range of 128 to 4096. Differences in antibody responses between piglets within a litter were registered. However, marked differences in average titres of neutralizing antibodies related to the origin of piglets from various herds were noted. Titres lower than 16 and titres of the highest values were detected in piglets from all the herds. Although differences between piglets within respective litters were observed, particularly marked differences were detected between piglets from different dams.

Czech description

U selat byly zjišťovány titry protilátek neutralizujících shigatoxin Stx2e. U 9.7% selat byly zjištěny titry nižší než 16. Nejvyšší počet selat měl titry protilátek v rozsahu 128 až 4096. Rozdíly mezi výší titrů protilátek byly zjišťovány mezi selaty z různých vrhů. Výrazné rozdíly byly rovněž pozorovány v titrech u selat pocházejících z různých chovů. Titry nižší než 16 byly zjišťovány u selat ve všech chovech. I když byly zjišťovány rozdíly mezi chovy a jednotlivými selaty, nejmarkantnější změny bylypozorovány mezi selaty od různých matek.
