Elisa detection of group A rotavirus, transmissible gastroenteritis virus and porcine epidemic diarrhoea virus in faeces of piglets

  • Original language description

In total, 219 faecal samples from piglets with diarrhoea were examined by electron microscopy (EM) and monoclonal antibody based competitive blocking ELISA (CB-ELISA) methods. Causative agents of viral diarrhoea were detected in 57 (26.3%) samples. GroupA rotavirus was demonstrated in 50 (22.8%), transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) in 25 (11.4%) and porcine epidemic diarrhoea virus (PEDV) in 27 (12.3%) samples. The single group A rotavirus infection was detected in 29 (50.8%) samples, while PEDVinfection in 3 (5.3%) samples only. The combined viral infections were frequently detected.

ELISA průkaz rotaviru skupiny A, viru transmissivní gastroenteritidy a viru porcinní epidemické diarrhoey v trusu selat
