Between 1997 and 2003, in one herd of pigs with 90 sows and two boars, positive and dubious responses to avian tuberculin were detected in 4 and 72 pigs, respectively. Pigs examined using the agglutination test for the presence of serum antibodies against antigens prepared from various M.avium complex (MAC) members: M.a.avium (MAA), M.a.hominissuis (MAH) and M.intracellulare (MI). Positive skin responses were found in animals with antibodies against MAH 23.7%, MAA 4.0% and MI 11.8% antigens. By serologyof 17 sows with repeated dubious responses for tuberculin skin testing with avian tuberculin, no antibodies against MAA were detected; MAH antibodies and MI antibodies were found in 8 and 2 animals, respectively. By post mortem examination of lymph nodes from all 76 animals with responses to avian tuberculin, no TB lesions were detected. By culture examination conditionally pathogenic mycobacteria were isolated from only 1 animal.These isolates were identified as MAH and CPM by the PCR.

Izolace podmíněně patogenních mykobakterií z vnějšího prostředí jedné farmy prasat a účinnost přijatých preventivních opatření provedených v letech 1997 až 2003

Czech description

V chovu prasat s 90 prasnicemi a 2 kanci se v období let 1997-2003 vyskytly v kožním testu na aviární tuberkulin pozitivní reakce u 4 a dubiózní reakce u 72 prasat, která byla vyšetřena na přítomnost sérových protilátek proti antigenům připraveným ze zástupců komplexu Mycobacterium avium: M. a. avium (MAA), M. a. hominissuis (MAH) a M. intracellulare (MI). Pozitivní kožní reakce byla zjištěna u zvířat s protilátkami proti antigenu MAH (23.7%), MAA (4.0%) a MI (11.8%). U 17 prasnic s opakovanou dubiózníreakcí při tuberkulinaci nebyly zjištěny při sérologickém vyšetření u žádného zvířete protilátky proti MAA, u 8 zvířat byly zjištěny protilátky proti MAH a u 2 zvířat proti MI. Při post mortem vyšetření vzorků mízní uzliny a orgánů od všech 76 reagujících zvířat na aviární tuberkulin nebyly nalezeny žádné tuberkulózní změny. Kultivačním vyšetřením byly izolovány podmíněně patogenní mykobakterie pouze od 1 zvířete. Metodou PCR a biochemicky byly tyto izoláty určeny jako MAH a CPM.
