Chromosomal homologies have been established between cattle (Bos taurus) and eight species of spiralhorned antelope, Tribe Tragelaphini: Nyala (Tragelaphus angasii), Lesser kudu (T. imberbis), Bongo (T. eurycerus), Bushbuck (T. scriptus), Greater kudu (T. strepsiceros), Sitatunga (T. spekei) Derby eland (Taurotragus derbianus) and Common eland (T. oryx). Chromosomes involved in centric fusions in these species were identified using a complete set of cattle painting probes generated by laser microdissection.

Byly stanoveny homologie mezi chromozomy skotu (Bos taurus) a osmi druhy podčeledi lesoňů: nyala (Tragelaphus angasii), kudu malý (T. imberbis), Bongo (T. eurycerus), lesoň (T. scriptus), kudu velký (T. strepsiceros), Sitatunga (T. spekei), antilopa Derbyho (Taurotragus derbianus) a antilopa losí(T. oryx). Chromozomy zapojené v centrických fůzích u těchto druhů byly identifikovány pomocí kompletní sady paintingových sond připravených z chromozomů skotu laserovou mikrodisekcí.
