Characteristic of selected rheological parameters of stallion ejaculate

  • Original language description

Dynamic viscosity of native and 24 h storaged stallion ejaculate was measured. The ejaculate of 10 breeding stallions was examined in three different experimental series. The negative correlation between viscosity of ejaculates and sperm concentration was found. Stallion ejaculate was characterized as non-Newtonian liquid with clear shear-thinning behaviour and slightly time-dependent.
