Meiotic competence of bovine oocytes influences mitochondrial gene expression during in vitro maturation
Original language description
The 6th International Scientific Conference Animal Biotechnology 2018. The study assess the changes in expression of mRNA transcripts playing an important role in mitochondrial DNA metabolism during in vitro maturation of bovine oocytes with different meiotic competence and health. The differences in mitochondrial genes, MATER poly(A) and total RNA expression were discovered among healthy and light-atretic meiotically more and less competent bovine oocytes maturing in vitro.
