Original language description
The aim of this paper is to evaluate the influence of foreign direct investment (FDI) on development of the Czech agri-food sector with the emphasis on the food-processing element. In the paper there is described the development of FDI income in the period 1993-2002. Further on there is evaluated and appreciated the sector structure and its future development perspective and the influence on competitiveness of the food sector.

Czech description
Cílem příspěvku je zhodnotit vliv přímých zahraničních investic (PZI) na rozvoj zemědělsko-potravinářského sektoru, přičemž hlavní důraz je kladen na jeho potravinářský článek. V příspěvku je zachycen vývoj přílivu PZI v letech 1993-2002 a dále je posuzována a hodnocena jejich oborová struktura a další perspektiva jejich vývoje a vliv na konkurenceschopnost potravinářského sektoru.
