Valve sparing root replacement: the remodeling technique with external ring annuloplasty
Original language description
The autors present the comprehensive overview of aortic valve sparing procedures. They describe the advantages and disadvantages of both type of the procedure: the aortic root remodeling and the aortic valve reimplantation. The autors propose so called standardized approach: the aortic root remodeling plus the implantation of extra aortic annuloplasty ring. From the view of dynamic anatomy is aortic root remodeling more physiological procedure. In combination with this ring, which secures and stabilizesthe aortoventricular junction, there is an assumption of a long term good function. All critical steps of this procedure are described in details.
