Risk factors for chronic lung allograft dysfunction and graft surveillance
Original language description
CLAD is the major limiting factor for long-term survival after LTx. To improve CLAD outcome, early detection and knowledge of underlying risk factors is crucial. Consequently, the area is widely researched, but results are intricate. This chapter describes current graft surveillance strategies; considers the complexity of CLAD risk factors, including pollution, GORD, compliance, infection, transplant type, PGD, ACR, AMR and immunosuppression; and emphasises the need for vigilant post-transplant management.
